5 Great Songs to Sing at a Wedding
5 Great Songs to Sing at a Wedding Suzy S. Want to impress your friends or family or perhaps your future husband or wife with a wedding performance? Here are some ideas for songs to sing at a wedding from Hayward, CA teacher Molly R... I have worked with many singers who have been asked by a friend or family member to sing at a wedding. Itâs a great honor, but it can also be nerve-wracking! While some have been asked to sing a specific song, others need some suggestions on what to sing. Here are five songs to sing at a wedding, from a wide variety of styles: 1. âAve Mariaâ by Franz Schubert This song has been used for years for good reason. Its vocal line is just plain beautiful! In its original classical adaptation, sung in Latin, itâs a solid option for classically trained voices. There are also pop versions available in various keys, as well as various languages! 2. âAll I Ask Of Youâ from âThe Phantom of the Operaâ This is a really great option because it can be sung either as a duet as written for the show (for baritone and soprano), or it can be a more pop-like solo. 3. âBless the Broken Roadâ by Rascal Flatts This contemporary ballad is ideal for weddings in more casual settings. Country singers need their options, too! Here is a solo version sung by Carrie Underwood. âWhen I Fall in Loveâ This classic piece is ideal for jazzy voices, beginner/intermediate singers, and more mature voices. And last, but certainly not least âThe Wedding Song (There is Love)â by Paul Stookey This simple but very moving song has been a staple at weddings for almost 45 years! It sounds lovely with guitar accompaniment as well. Do you need help finding the perfect song to sing at a wedding, or making your chosen solo perfect? There are so many voice teachers that would love to help you. He or she can help you with your diction, phrasing, and overall confidence to prepare you for a marvelous performance on the big day! Making the Most of the August SAT with ADHD
Making the Most of the August SAT with ADHD This year for the first time the College Board will be offering an SAT test date over the summer. The August SAT presents a very appealing option for teens with ADHD who feel too busy or overwhelmed during the school year to tackle SAT test prep. In addition, the August SAT gives seniors the opportunity to take the test twice, once in August and once in October, before having to shift gears and focus on writing college application. For juniors, taking the SAT in August can alleviate some of pressure they will fell during what is typically the most academically rigorous year of high school. With these benefits, it can seem like a no brainer to take the SAT in August instead of during the school year, especially when you have ADHD. But before you jump online to register, consider some unique challenges that come with taking the test over the summer when ADHD is in the mix: There is such a thing as too much free time! The biggest challenge is that the same free time that makes it more feasible to study for the SAT over the summer also makes it more difficult to stick to a study plan. Children, teens, and adults with ADHD thrive on structure. So, without the structure of school and extracurricular activities, it can be hard to start tasks and get things completed efficiently and effectively when you have ADHD. Studying during the summer? Getting motivated to study is hard enough during the school year when you have ADHD. Over the summer, when free time has typically been spent relaxing and recharging, mustering up the motivation to study is especially hard. Even with these challenges, most students with ADHD will benefit from taking the SAT over the summer rather than during the school year. The trick is anticipating the challenges and creating a plan that will help you to be successful right from the start. So, what are some steps you can take to make the August SAT work for you? Create structure. Create and commit to a structured test prep plan. SAT test prep programs provided by tutoring centers provide built-in structure and accountability, and are a great fit when you have ADHD. With any test prep plan, whether its one that you create, or one provided by a tutoring center, there will be an at-home study component. Schedule study time blocks in advance, and set mini goals for each study session. Write these goals down and check off your progress along the way. Strengthen your motivation. Help yourself stay motivated on a day-to-day basis by coming up with activities that you can earn by sticking with your study plan. It can be simple things, like committing to going to the pool or hanging out with friends only after youve first met study goals for the day. Or it can be something bigger, buying tickets to a concert once youve met your study goals for two weeks in a row. Plan ahead and create consistency. In order to reach your full potential and get your highest possible score on the SAT you will need consistency in your summer schedule. This means avoiding long breaks (more than a few days) from studying, especially in August. Talk to your family about scheduling vacations earlier in the summer rather than closer to your SAT test date. If you have a summer job, talk to your employer about creating a relatively consistent schedule each week and working fewer hours the week prior to the SAT. Dont go it alone. Everyone needs support when they are working toward a long term goal like studying for the SAT. This is especially true when you have ADHD. Ask for help from a tutor, sibling, parent, or friend who can help you stay accountable and stick to your plan. Check in with this person every week and review the progress youre making toward your goals. The August SAT presents a real opportunity to get a jump start on taking the SAT before the demands of the school year become overwhelming. With a little planning and support you can make the summer SAT work for you! ABOUT DR. Trumps Administration Why the Controversy
Trump's Administration Why the Controversy pexels.com So, for your benefit, here is a quick summary of who to be on the lookout for following Fridayâs inauguration: The New Team: Senior Adviser: Jared Kushner Whatâs his role? Thereâs a lot that goes into the role, but heâs essentially a part of domestic and foreign policy. Why heâs controversial? Heâs married to Trumpâs daughter, Ivanka. Itâs debatable as to whether or not this breaks anti-nepotism laws (basically, the laws that state the president canât appoint family members). Itâs also controversial because heâs the CEO of the familyâs real estate business (though he will be supposedly stepping down to take on the role). Chief Strategist: Steve Bannon Whatâs his role? Heâs basically the lead adviser to Trump. Why heâs controversial? He ran a media outlet (Breitbart News) that leaned very far to the right. For Democrats, this is a bad thing. For Republicans, not so much. Chief of Staff: Reince Priebus Whatâs his role? Called the presidentâs âgatekeeper,â he will essentially supervise the staff in the White House. Why heâs controversial? Just another Republican. In fact, he was a Republican National Committee chairman. Counselor to the President: Kellyanne Conway Whatâs her role? She would essentially be the presidentâs top adviser, working on his top priorities with lawmakers. Why sheâs controversial? She was Trumpâs campaign manager. In other news, she was the first female in that role to win the presidential election. An odd bit of irony for you, huh? National Security Adviser: Michael Flynn Whatâs his role? He keeps us safe. Kind of. Heâs an adviser to the president on issues such as military and foreign policy. Why heâs controversial? Heâs anti-Islam. Or at least, pro-aggression towards Islam. Heâs a retired general (served in both Iraq and Afghanistan) and heâs ready to turn up the heat. Press Secretary: Sean Spicer Whatâs his role? Exactly as youâd think: he manages the relationship between the White House and the press. Why heâs controversial? He was the head spokesman of the Republican National Committee (just another Republican). But I think weâll learn rather quickly that heâs going to have one of the toughest jobs over the next four years. That is if recent events have anything to say about it. Secretary of State: Rex Tillerson Whatâs his role? Heâs the main go-to on foreign policy. Heâs basically going to be managing our international relations. Why heâs controversial? He was the CEO of ExxonMobil. He also has ties with Russia and Vladimir Putin himself. So for a president thatâs rumored to have a similar relationship, this is a questionable choice. Defense Secretary: James Mattis Whatâs his role? Heâs the go-to man on defense. In other words, he runs the military. Why heâs controversial? Heâs clashed with the White House previously under the Obama administration, though he has served for over 40 years in the Marines and has led forces in both Afghanistan and Iraq. So heâs qualified, but things will be very different than they were under Obama. UN Ambassador: Gov. Nikki Haley Whatâs her role? Sheâs the go-to for the United Nations. Sheâs going to be a foreign policy adviser to the secretary of state and the president himself. Why sheâs controversial? Sheâs probably best known as the South Carolina governor that took the Confederate Flag down after a shooting in order to stop division, and sheâs been a big advocate against some of Trumpâs plans. So weâll likely see some head-butting there in the future. CIA Director: Mike Pompeo Whatâs his role? You guessed it heâs in charge of CIA operations. Heâs also going to advise Trump on CIA intel to keep the U.S. safe. Why heâs controversial? For a brief history lesson, he was on the committee that investigated the Benghazi attacks. In future tense, heâs dealing with a president thatâs been fairly anti-CIA. So again, head-butting could be in the near future. Attorney General: Jeff Sessions Whatâs his role? Heâs going to be running the Justice Department. So heâs basically the top law enforcement officer in the U.S. Why heâs controversial? Heâs got a âspottyâ civil rights history. Especially surrounding the police and Black Lives Matter issues that are ongoing, this is going to be quite a problem moving forward. Donât be too surprised if this comes up frequently. Treasury Secretary: Steve Mnuchin Whatâs his role? Heâs our money man. Basically, heâs in charge of U.S. debt and updating the president on our finances as a country. Why heâs controversial? He has no government background. Oh, and heâs exactly the type of person that Trump said wouldnât be appointed under his presidency. So already, some red flags are flying high. His plans will likely only help the financial elite, according to many sources, which is a bummer for middle-class Americans. So these names will come up again be on the lookout! And at least now you have some background information for the next time you hear their names.
Six Signs Your Kid Needs A Tutor This Summer
Six Signs Your Kid Needs A Tutor This Summer Summer is here, at last! It is time for camping in Colorado, surfing on the Socal beaches, ice cream in Houston, and cold juice in Arizona. But the summer is also a terrific opportunity to get ahead in your educational career. Sure, a kid needs a little time to relax. But it is a great idea to think about summer tutoring for your kid especially if you have noticed some of the following signs: 1. The grades of your kid were not so good as you was hoping to. You know your kid can do better. But the latest report card is a complete disappointment. 2. Your kid does not care about school. He has shown little concern when he received a D grade. What he is doing well are the excuses for not doing the home work. 3. School teachers have recommended hiring a tutor this summer. Your sons teacher has called you into her office. She has noticed weaknesses in certain subjects and suggested tutoring sessions. 4. Your kid has a low self-esteem. Usually your kid just complains âI cannot do itâ or âmy teacher does not like meâ 5. Your kid does not want to do his homework. The main excuse for not doing the home work is itâs too much homework. When you finally made your kid do some homework he has poor results. It doesnt matter how much time your kid spends on it. 6. Your kid makes up excuses to miss the school. Its hard to get your kid out of a bed in the morning, and even if you do, its a difficult task to make him to go to school. If you son or daughter exhibits some of these signs, he or she would benefit from the help of a good tutor. At TutorZ we have over 40,000 tutors to assist over the summer. And remember, if your kids keep thinking over the summer they will have the best start into the next school year.
Using Public Speaking Gestures for Teaching
Using Public Speaking Gestures for Teaching Itâs a well-known fact that body language conveys a large portion of the tone and meaning in our speech. Consider texting: without a winking emoticon, it would be much harder to tell if a text was sarcastic. With our bodies, we can add meaning and excitement to any lesson. Most of us use gestures instinctively, and they add just a bit of meaning and tone to our speech. But, to really influence and teach people, we need to actively practice our gestures. A good place to start is to get comfortable with these four simple types:1. Gestures outside of the frame of your body. These gestures are BIG. Get your shoulders moving, and toss your arms out wide. When you convey a big idea, show how big it is with your arms and chest raised high. If you do this right, you can take up the listenerâs whole field of vision, and they canât help but pay attention to what you have to say. Be excited, and let your listener share in that excitement.2. Gestures within the frame of your body. These gestures are small. After a big gesture, bring things into focus. Use your hands right in front of your chest, lower your voice slightly, and draw in the listenerâs attention. These gestures are great for conveying detail, and making the listener lean in close.3. Numbers on you r fingers. Now that the listener is leaning in and paying attention, use your fingers to show the total number of points you want to make before you dive into your topic. In general, people pay attention best to two or three points. With each point you make, show its number. People react faster to what they see than to what they hear, so your fingers will jog their memory.4. Miming. Finally, between your points, use your hands to mime props and shapes. This is the most abstract and difficult type of gesture to master, but it is also the most powerful. After numbering a point, you can introduce the point as a pretend object: a ball, a box, a stick, or any other simple metaphor that will add life to your speech. Play with the imaginary object by twisting, turning, and shaping it according to what you say. By showing the listener a mimed prop, you give them a physical representation of your words to picture and to remember. As with all things, these techniques take practice. Get each type of gesture in your body language vocabulary, then start stringing them together. Soon enough, youâll be saying just as much with your hands as with your words.

Cognitive Tutor and Rational Tutor - How They Help Students
Cognitive Tutor and Rational Tutor - How They Help StudentsCognitive Tutor and Rational Tutor are both related to the algebra portion of the SAT. If you do not already know, a whole array of complex concepts and words are discussed in an algebra course, so it is best to learn algebra before the SAT takes place.Just about every chapter of the test consists of a section's topics, and they are broken up into topics that relate to math, science, and language. Students who want to succeed in algebra are going to need to know the concepts, and possibly even understand a few different equations. Both these books provide all the tools needed for helping students achieve this goal.Cognitive Tutor is designed by a leading expert in both introductory and advanced college algebra courses. It has been used by thousands of students who passed their courses and earned their college degrees. The author understands that just reading an algebra text book does not guarantee success in an advanced class . The text book that is in Cognitive Tutor has all the tools you need to pass the course.A valuable feature of the book is the numerous sections on time management, study habits, and problem solving strategies. These sections include helpful suggestions, exercises, and practice problems. Once students start learning the topics that are covered in the book, they will begin to see improvements in the time that they spend studying, as well as in their ability to solve math problems. Most algebra books focus on one or two subject areas, such as geometry, trigonometry, or even calculus. However, the author includes a substantial number of question banks that you can use at your leisure. The main feature of the text book is the repetition and revision that it provides, making it an excellent choice for students who want to review the topics they need to master in algebra class. The cost of Cognitive Tutor is reasonable and is very reasonably priced, especially given the number of concepts a nd ideas that are covered. For many students, the cost of the book is not something they are concerned with. In addition, there are multiple versions of the book available, including an inexpensive paperback edition. Some students choose to teach themselves first, but others have their own theories from other sources. The author has designed this book to be simple enough for anyone to understand, regardless of the knowledge that you already have.

What Does K Mean in Chemistry?
What Does K Mean in Chemistry? What does K mean in Chemistry? To those of you who have not yet finished your undergraduate chemistry classes, K means hydrogen. This is a chemical element. It is one of the H atoms and it is found on most compounds. The Hydroxyl Group is the most common of all groups. We use the word 'hydrogen' to refer to this group. A group is made up of a fixed number of atoms, usually in a ring shape. There are three types of groups. The first type is the ring. There are many forms of rings and the list is a long one. There are many words for the Ring in chemistry, such as atom, molecule, space, unit, bond, network, etc. The ring shape is used for all three forms of molecular structures, including most of the elements that we are familiar with today. If you are reading this article in a chemistry class, you should already know what a ring is.Then there is the center element. This is the central atom in a molecule. This is the element that makes up the molecule. In mos t cases, the center atom is simply the atom that makes up the center of the ring. Now, we come to the third group, which is the ring composed of the atom that makes up the middle of the ring.In many circles, the center ring of a ring is referred to as the ring 'I.' This means the center of the ring is called the I. Sometimes the eye is called the I. This means the center of the ring, the I, is called the I in this case. You may also see the I referred to as the I in chemistry when you are reading something that discusses the me or an element with the me in its name.To many people, the I is the center element. It is one of the more interesting things to know about the periodic table. In some circles, the I is also called the 'island of stability.' This is because the eye is in the same place in the periodic table as sulfur, oxygen, magnesium, potassium, calcium, lead, and silicon. The I will remain a point of interest for many years to come. In some circles, they call the I 'the islan d of stability' because of its position at the center of the chemical structure of most compounds.

In fact, this is the common definition of what people mean when they refer to water when they think of water. In fact, there are certain properties that this molecule can have that make it particularly useful. For example, this molecule will have high atomic number (or that it has a larger number of atoms in it than its molecular weight) and can be insoluble.First, this atom can only be found in water because it only has a half - number of atoms in it. It is therefore possible to get it into you r glass without you having to take any precautions with regards to how much salt you can put into your glass. This is a particularly useful property because if you have a specific amount of salt that you wish to drink then you are not limited in the amount of water that you can drink. In this way, this molecule can be very useful for those who have allergies or are dehydrated.Second, this atom is also known as a pyrrolic atom. This means that this atom has two electrons instead of just one. It is also known as the cationic bond because it can be used in both a positive and a negative way. This allows the molecule to become useful because it is able to bond with other atoms. For example, if you wanted to be able to make a perfume out of a particular oil, you would not be able to do this with all oils. However, because this molecule has more than one electrons, you can use it to make it perfume-like. In fact, this can be made into a very large range of smells such as it can be made int o perfumes out of different types of oil. You might be interested in this because if you are looking to make a stronger fragrance of the oil then you can use this compound to do so.In addition, the molecules that this can be used in will also be able to be used in the production of prescription medications such as the Benzyl alcohol. For example, you might be interested in learning more about the compounds that this can be used in as a chemical. You might be able to save quite a bit of money by making your own medication and this can be done by using dissolve definition.
